Day 1-Carmino Frances

Today's Date: 26/08/24

My Camino from France to Spain represents the beginning of the 30-day cycle starting at St Jean Pied de Port and finishing at Santiago de Compostela with 800 km in front of me to explore.

After living for over half a half-century in my life, I learned to appreciate what I learned and experienced, the people who supported me during the ups and downs, and the opportunities and challenges the outer places gave me to grow and contribute.
Af the age of 51 having a long break from my previous jobs and work. In addition, my two kids have grown to the age of being independent and leaving home soon. All of a sudden, the sense of loss and the uncertainty of the next chapter hit me hard. Out of the blue, some thoughts came into my mind about why now have a solo Carmino from SJJP to St.James Church to reflect who I am, what I can do, and how to live life even whole-hearted. It would be more internal and self-reflective during this time. This is a time of rest, renewal, rebirth, hope, and dreams. It's a time for self-care and gentleness. I want to use this journal to make notes about my thoughts, my experience on the way, my reflection, and my discoveries for the next 30 days.

Buen Camino and the Camino will provide. It's about to start as now I am on the plane way to SJJP.
